A man who was fatally shot in downtown Everett in late November 2021, has been identified.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that 48-year-old Jerome L. Burnett’s cause of death was due to a gunshot wound and his manner of death was homicide.
On Nov. 27, officers were near California Street and Rockefeller Avenue just before 8:30 p.m. when they heard gunfire and responded.Medics took the victim to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.The investigation remains ongoing.
