UPDATE: Phoenix PD says a man is detained after a shots fired investigation Sunday near Central and Roosevelt.
At about 8:30 p.m., Phoenix officers were called to Central Avenue and Roosevelt Street for an unrelated call.
After the initial call was completed officers attempted to re-contact the man who approached them but he ran away.Phoenix police officials say it's unclear if the man fired in the direction of the officers or in a random direction.The armed man got away that night but police say they do have a person believed to be involved detained.
