The West Shore RCMP says a construction worker has died following a workplace incident Wednesday afternoon.
Police say they received a call about an unresponsive man at a construction site in the 1400-block of Pinehurst Place around 12:50 p.m.
Both police and paramedics attended the scene and attempted life-saving measures. However, the man – who police describe as an employee of the construction site in his mid-20s – died of his injuries at the scene.tells CHEK News it was notified of a “serious workplace incident” along Bear Mountain Parkway around 1:20 p.m. and that WorkSafeBC officers are now attending the scene.
The BC Coroners Service have been notified of the incident, police say. Meanwhile, RCMP are still conducting their own investigation.
