The Brooklyn man convicted of killing a 30-year-old woman jogger gets life without parole
The Brooklyn man convicted of killing a woman jogging alone in a Queens Park was sentenced to life in prison without parole.
Earlier this month, a Queens jury found Chanel Lewis, 22 years old, guilty of murder and sexual abuse for the 2016 death of Karina Vetrano. The conviction led to controversy about what the defense said was juror misconduct and questions about how DNA evidence was collected. Justice Michael Aloise held a hearing on the juror issue Mondayand upheld the verdict.
