The second robber is still being sought three years after the fatal home invasion.
A jury on Tuesday convicted Oshshakkur Derrick, 27, of Somers Point, of felony murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and kidnapping, aggravated assault and a weapons offense, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Derrick and a second man, who has yet to be arrested, broke into a home on the 100 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue on Nov. 22, 2020, but unexpectedly found a man and woman in a bedroom, officials said.
