“I’m asking that this matter go over so that I can speak to my colleague Ms. Ng. She’s one of the assigned prosecutors on this matter,” Karpa said. She also said she is hoping to get some disclosure from the prosecution before Peterson’s next court date on Tuesday.Karpa said Peterson will not be able to appear via video on his next court date because the unspecified facility he is currently housed at does not have that capability.Article content
Peterson was charged by the RCMP on Tuesday with arson showing disregard for human life and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose following a fire a day earlier at the Charleston Residence in Lake Louise.displacing dozens of employeesPolice said Peterson was found on the roof of the residence with a weapon and was injured when he fell to the ground while climbing down a ladder. They said the accused was a resident at the lodge.— most of whom hail from outside Alberta and Canada.
