Police responded to a well-being call shortly before noon Tuesday in the area of Mary Street North and Colborne Street East. They were eventually told about a man who had fled on foot, possibly in possession of a firearm.Eventually, they found the victim of an assault. Their injuries are described as serious but non-life-threatening.Police searched a home related to the man, and say they found a firearm.
Ardalan Ahmadi, 40, of Oshawa, faces a number of charges, including assault, assault with a weapon, pointing a firearm and uttering threats. Anyone with information can call Detective Constable Micallef at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5398, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 .
