A 'non-compliant' suspect was taken into custody with the help of bean bag rounds and a police dog.
A 37-year-old who attempted to ram a stolen pickup truck past a police stop was arrested in Abbotsford with property stolen during a Burnaby break in.
A member of the Lower Mainland Integrated Police Dog Service located a Toyota Tacoma pickup stolen in Burnaby on Dec. 14 travelling eastbound on Highway 1 from the Coquitlam area, the release said. Police, including a dog team, moved in after the stolen truck backed into a parking stall, according to the release.
The suspect was "non-compliant," according to police, and officers deployed a police dog and "less lethal bean bag rounds" to take him into custody.
