Man arrested following CCTV appeal after woman's bottom 'forcibly' grabbed in bar
A 33-year-old man has been arrested after a woman had her bottom 'forcibly' grabbed in an Oldham bar.
Police say he was arrested on Friday 8 July on suspicion of sexual assault, assault and public order. He has since been released pending further enquiries. The incident happened at The Barclay bar in Royton just before midnight on Saturday 7 May. Police said a man "forcibly grabbed" the victim’s bottom at the establishment before running away.It is understood that the woman was not physically injured during the incident.
Greater Manchester Police later issued a CCTV appeal to attempt to track him down. Following Friday's arrest, the suspect remains under investigation but has been released.A GMP spokesperson said: "A 33-year-old man was arrested on Friday on suspicion of sexual assault, assault and public order.
