A Surrey man has been charged after he allegedly fired a rifle inside a home and then refused to surrender last week.
Just before 10 p.m. on March 31, Delta police were called to a home in the 1300-block Tsawwassen Drive for the report of possible shots fired.
Delta police said the suspect dropped the rifle, which was jammed, but refused to comply with orders. Officers then used a Taser to get the man into custody and the home was cleared. No other suspects and no victims were found.“This was a highly volatile and dangerous situation involving an unpredictable subject with a high calibre weapon,” aid Deputy Chief Harj Sidhu.Article content
