Man arrested after shooting ex-girlfriend during late-night confrontation outside south Houston home, police say
Police investigate a shooting in south Houston that ended with one person injured and another arrested.A man is accused of shooting his former girlfriend Tuesday night after she threw a rock at him when he opened the door at his home in south Houston.
Around 11 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 10600 block of Dulcimer Street and found a woman in her 60s who had been shot in the foot, Lt. Ronnie Willkens, of the Houston Police Department, told On Scene reporters. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.Witnesses told police the two people had previously dated, Willkens said. The man said she had shown up last week and damaged his car.
Police arrested the man, also in his 60s, Willkens said. He had not yet been identified as of Wednesday morning.
