Police say a Bexar County constable found the explosive device while performing an eviction.

He is being held on a $100,000 bail for the two charges.On June 5, a Bexar County constable was evicting Perkins from his residence in the 5300 block of Mt. Olive Road, according to an affidavit supporting Perkins’ arrest. At the home, a prospective resident told the constable that there was a device in a closet.
The next day, the Bexar County Fire Marshal’s Office found multiple bomb-making materials, the affidavit said. The suspected homemade explosive was made of a cardboard roll covered with black tape and exposed wires, with black powder and ball bearings inside.
