Just after 9 a.m., Sault Police received a report of a robbery taking place at a business in the 0-100 block of Queen Street West.Police located and arrested a man around the Cathcart and Gloucester Streets area after matching a description of the perpetrator. A search revealed the man had stolen Canadian money and a screwdriver in his possession, police said.
An investigation discovered that a man allegedly used a screwdriver in front of employees to demand money, which he then took and ran.Police have charged 29-year-old Brandon Murphy with robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of property obtained by crime.None of the allegations have been tested in court and Murphy is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
