Just after 5:34 p.m., police responded to a call about a pedestrian being struck in the Sheppard Avenue East and Palmdale Drive area. Police say the man had stopped in the centre turning lane of Sheppard Avenue East and was waiting for a break in eastbound traffic before he was struck.
