This article proposes a controversial trade to improve the Toronto Blue Jays' roster. The author suggests trading Bo Bichette for Randy Arozarena, along with prospects, to address the team's needs in the outfield and create salary flexibility.

Nearly two months have passed since my last offseason post, and the Jays haven't done much. They traded for Gimenez, and they added Yimi Garcia to the bullpen, while non-tendering Romano. There's still many significant moves to be made, and I wanted to show it's still possible to make the Jays into a contender.

It won't be easy, and it'll require some risky and likely controversial moves, but that's what makes it fun!The rules I'll play with - I can't undo any moves the Jays have made to this point. Romano is gone, Gimenez is a Blue Jay. I think I'll have to go way over the tax line though...The first move I'll make is the one that'll probably upset the most people, but I think it's a necessary one to rebalance the roster.Seattle trades - Randy Arozarena, and prospects SP Ryan Sloan and IF Felnin Celesten To be clear, I don't want to move Bichette. But I realize that the Jays need to have Gimenez at short to maximize his value, and the Jays aren't likely to keep Bichette beyond this year. So better to get some value for him, and get someone who can help beyond this year. Arozarena is a solid all around LF who can hit for power and run - two things the Jays lack. He's obviously not as good as Bichette, but he's a quality outfielder who gives the Jays what they need. He's also cheaper, letting the Jays spend more money, and will be around for another season. He's arbitration eligible in 2026, and a free agent in 2027. This move also let's me keep my Wagner/Jimenez platoon at second, and use Clement at third, letting me balance offence and defence better in the Infield. I lose some power from Bichette, but I think this might help the Jays add more players in free agency. Sloan is a promising starter, while Felnin Celesten is a high upside young 2B/3B prospect. I built the trade based on the Tucker deal. Both are years away from making an impact, but their early results are promising. Celesten as an 18 year old hit 352/431/568, a 150 wRC+ in rookie leagu
