Everything to know about the April 8 eclipse in Atlantic Canada | SaltWire #eclipse | SaltWireRobyn Lacy didn't have plans to write a book, but when the editor of Boulder Books approached her with an idea, she thought it was too neat to refuse.

“So, being able to do a guidebook, that’s a bit of history and also a guide, it’s going to be way more interesting for people.”Lacy's guidebook will focus on historic cemeteries from the 18th and 19th centuries.Outside of her academic work, Lacy is also co-director for Black Cat Preservations, which has helped to restore historic grave sites across the island.“Most of my research focuses on that time and that period has some interesting tombstones,” she said.

Lacy initially wanted to include every cemetery across N.L. but chose to focus on eastern Newfoundland for two reasons:"I made a list and I said to Gavin, we are going to have to split this up, it's way too many," said Lacy. “Narrowing down the information I want to put into it is going to be hard, I am trying to cover 70 sites.”
