BREAKING: Man killed while working on moving walkway at Waterloo Station
The man was killed while working on the travelators between Tube lines at Waterloo Station
A worker has been killed while working at Waterloo Station on a moving walkway between the Jubilee line and Northern and Bakerloo lines. British Transport Police said they were investigating the contractor’s death which happened earlier this morning on the travelator.Just before 5.30am TfL tweeted: ‘Waterloo Station: No interchange between lines, due to a fault with the the travellator. Please exit the station and walk back in.’
One side was later re-opened with a one-way system in place but people were being told to avoid the interchange where possible. People have been urged to avoid the interchange between the Jubilee line and the Bakerloo and Northern lines
