A statement issued by the city indicated that a significant amount of work on the $4-million project is done.Scott Adams, manager of the public works department, said recently that factors such as post-tropical storm Fiona have contributed to delays. Paving is expected to take place during the week of Dec. 19. The necessary supply of asphalt has been confirmed.
The installation of sheet piling necessary to install the box culvert is complete. The new water line is in place and testing is done. Work wasn’t taking place on the $5.7-million roundabout project in Charlottetown on Dec. 8 but the project is considered close to being finished. Barriers are still blocking vehicles from entering the traffic circle from Brackley Point Road and Belvedere Avenue. - Dave StewartAs of Dec. 8, the city had no official update on when the $5.7-million project will completely open to traffic.
