Magnolia Independent School District employees may receive an incentive up to $8,000 as officials try to address a statewide staffing shortage.

I think districts all around the state are trying to figure out ways to incentivize and showcase...why your district is the best place to work."

Which is why the district is trying to encourage teachers to apply through the incentive program, Meyers said.New Caney's Infinity Early College High School ranks No. 11 in Houston area, according to Children at Risk Additionally, district employees could receive a one-time payment for referring a teacher who is hired for the 2023 school year. An employee could receive $1,000 for each Texas-certified teacher they refer. An employee could also receive $1,500 for each Texas-certified special education, bilingual and foreign language teachers they refer.Full-time employees who submit a resignation letter by 4 p.m. on March 31 could receive a one-time payment of $500.
