GRAZ, Austria — Magna Steyr is in ongoing discussions with Chinese automakers to manufacture their vehicles at its factory here as the companies make plan to expand in Europe.
As well as “looking at what role we can play” the subsidiary of Magna International can “help them to have a manufacturing site here in Europe,” Prettner said. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has warned that Europe may have to impose tariffs on Chinese EVs if they are found to receive unfair subsidies.
