Magic Michael Carter Williams Agree To Two Year Deal - RealGM Wiretap
After a year away, veteran guard Michael Carter-Williams is making a return to the NBA, and it's in a place he's familiar with. Carter-Williams has agreed to a two-year deal with the Orlando Magic. Carter-Williams' contract will cover the rest of this season, with Orlando holding a team option for next season.
Carter-Williams last played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season with the Magic. He averaged 8.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 25.8 minutes over 31 games . The 2014 Rookie of the Year missed last season while recovering from offseason surgery on his left ankle. The Magic waived Carter-Williams at the 2022 trade deadline, when they needed to clear roster spots for deadline maneuvering.
