Lyft says the job cuts, which affect 1.6% of its workforce, are aimed at its push toward profitability by the end of 2021
SAN FRANCISCO—Lyft Inc. said Wednesday that it cut 90 jobs, or 1.6% of its workforce, as it aims to turn a profit by the end of next year.
The layoffs affected employees in sales and marketing, according to company spokeswoman Alexandra LaManna. Lyft’s sales team is “re-prioritising certain markets,” she said, while the marketing department is consolidating city-by-city groups into regional teams.
