San Antonio-area architecture firm alleges ex-bookkeeper embezzled almost $1.7 million

In a lawsuit filed last month in state District Court in San Antonio, the architecture and landscape architecture firm accuses her of repeatedly using a company debit card to pay for luxury items and ordinary expenses such as mortgage payments and grocery bills. Dove added the firm “will continue to cooperate with both state and federal authorities as we go through this process. We plan to leave no stone unturned.”
Chris Lingle has a history of run-ins with law enforcement from the early 1990s through 2008, and records show he spent time in state prison. “My investigation so far has discovered approximately 4,520 incidents of unauthorized debit card use and improper check usage,” Rios says in the affidavit. “This is an average of 81 unauthorized charges a month.”A breakdown of key state and local races and candidates in the May 24 primary runoff.
