Hearts will definitely be pounding at The Mayan in downtown Los Angeles as the venue hosts its annual Lucha VaVoom wrestling match with a“It’s just such an exciting event,” said Liz Fairbairn, owner and producer of the adrenaline-filled Mexican wrestling spectacle. “You never know what you’re going to get when you walk in there and we throw everything at the audience so quickly. There will be more than a dozen wrestlers battling it out including a co-ed main event that will feature Taya Valkyrie, a four-time champ whose finisher move is called The Road to Valhalla, which consists of planting her opponents face on the mat.
She’s teaming up with Magno, a mountain of a man known for jumping off the top ropes for his match-finishing moves. The pair are up against Simone Williams, an Austrian pro wrestler making her Lucha VaVoom debut, and Johnny VaVoom, a former WWE wrestler who also happens to be married Valkyrie, his competition for the evening.
