Transpo boss Renée Amilcar said Thursday the agency was making progress on restoring LRT service and expects it to be back at full service on Friday.
“O-Train Line 1 service was launched this morning and is running with 4 trains in the west and 4 trains in the east, with one spare train,” Amilcar said in a memo to council and the transportation committee.Amilcar said “due to the progress made by RTG,” temporary full O-Train Line 1 rail service ran Wednesday night from 10:30 p.m.
until the end of service.On Thursday, “RTG workers have resumed the delicate and complex work of re-wiring the overhead catenary system and other repairs are ongoing.”“RTG continues to make progress on the required repairs to restore full O-Train service and it is anticipated to be completed ,” Amilcar wrote.Share this article in your social network
