The fourth episode picks up exactly where the third episode ends — with Betty confronting Candy with an ax. The fight itself develops slowly, only igniting when Candy reaches out for a final apology. We see Candy taking a blow to the head and foot, but we’re spared Betty’s demise .From then on, Candy’s calculating mind, despite the shellshock, goes into overdrive, concocting the alibi.
Allan senses something bad might be up, so he checks on Betty. He finally gets a group of neighbors together to get into the house by any means. They find Betty’s bloody body and a crying unattended baby.
