THUNDER BAY — A massive power outage that knocked out electricity for most of the city on Thursday was because of a "loss of supply," according to Synergy North. Synergy North spokesperson Lesley Racco said the power went out for thousands of residents "due to an interruption in supply at the transmission level. Racco added that the loss affected transmission stations on Walsh Street and Birch Street.
Synergy North noted they were very pleased the unplanned outage lasted only 40 minutes and appreciated customers' support.
