Looking happy and healthy, Stamps focus in on Bombers Stampeders CFL
With Saturday’s massive matchup against the undefeated Winnipeg Blue Bombers only two days away, the Stamps were looking happy and healthy heading into the game at McMahon Stadium .
The Stampeders didn’t reveal this week which players had COVID or were sick with other illnesses, although head coach Dave Dickenson did acknowledge there had been some positive COVID tests. The players have been through the CFL’s protocols and are hopefully ready to play. Thurman is their starting linebacker. Carey is their star running back. Dennis is their starting left-tackle. And Stevens is their short-yardage quarterback in a lot of situations.Article content
“The guys who are healthy enough to play and fit the right roles play, and I think our team is coming together,” Dickenson said Thursday. “Got some of the guys back today who missed all week. And me? I just want to see where their energy is at and how they’re feeling. If we’re going to beat these guys, it’s going to take a great 60-minute effort.
