Rancho Buena Vista trying to win league baseball title for the first time in two decades
The drought has covered two decades, a dry spell that has seen the Rancho Buena Vista High baseball team come close, but not hang a league championship banner since 2002.
“We need to take care of business Friday because the Vista games are emotional,” said RBV’s Wyatt Hamro, who allowed one hit over three relief innings with four strikeouts to earn the save. “Usually, I’m a starting pitcher,” Hamro said. “But I was hurt, so I’m working in relief, building back my strength.RBV staked Green to a first-inning lead when Gianlunca Fanelli’s two-out single scored Matthew Bates, who had doubled.
