Reigning conference MVP Silas Fagnan was dominant again under centre, outdistancing all other AUS quarterbacks in completions , yards and touchdowns . While the offence grabs the headlines, Bussey said the X-Men vaunted defensive corps deserves much of the praise. With the Mounties trailing the host Gaiters 12-7 with 63 seconds remaining, Barton hauled in a 33-yard pass from quarterback Justin Vogels and scored the go-ahead touchdown.
