Chargers boys, Guardian girls lead the pack heading into Saskatoon high school soccer playoffs.
City high-school players are launching soccer balls with increasing intensity as playoffs draw close.
Jack Shand – Grade 12. Goalie. Excels in net with incredible reflexes and instincts. He is a leader on the team and understands the game at a high level.“Aden Bowman looks to keep improving upon what they accomplished last season. With a great mix of Grade 12s and young players, the team expects to finish in the top half of the table and make a run in playoffs.”“This is Bethlehem’s first season returning to the 11v11 fall soccer league.
Joel Doci – Grade 12, Striker. Likes to set the tone for the team. He plays with desire and often finds ways to get on the end of his teammates passes. He is a good tackler and can disrupt other teams ability to build from the back. Saad Bajwa – Goalkeeper. Returning starter from last season and we are looking forward to his leadership on the field.Tayyab Ghumman – Defender. A tremendous athlete that can play multiple positions across the back line.“We are hoping to see constant improvement throughout the season and hope to be playing our best soccer at playoff time.
