The 78-year-old retiree from Indian Wells, California, ran a moving business for more than a half-century. Now facing his golden years after a lifetime of hard work and sacrifice, he contemplates what it will be like to drive off into the proverbial sunset in his dream car.
“We did it all on a dolly raised up about a foot and a half off the ground,” says Eric. “I cut the middle of the car completely out, all the way from front to back, got rid of everything in the middle except the rear seat bracket that was between the two quarter-panels. Everything below that, all the way to the outer rocker panels, was completely removed from the car. We had just an outside shell of a body sitting on a stand.
