Three 9-year-olds, a custodian, a substitute teacher and Head of School were among the six victims from the shooting at Covenant School, Nashville police say. The 28-year-old shooter was described as transgender by Police Chief John Drake.
According to Nashville police, the victims are: Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all 9; and Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61.
The shooter was a resident of the Nashville area and attended the Covenant School at some point, Nashville Metropolitan Police Chief John Drake said during a news conference.
