is in effect until 11 p.m. for 46 counties in North and Central Texas. The counties included in the watch are Anderson, Bell, Bosque, Collin, Cooke, Comanche, Coryell, Delta, Denton, Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Falls, Fannin, Freestone, Grayson, Hamilton, Henderson, Hill, Hopkins, Hunt, Jack, Johnson, Kaufman, Lamar, Lampasas, Leon, Limestone, McLennan, Milam, Mills, Montague, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rains, Robertson, Rockwall, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Van Zandt, Wise and Young.
A Tornado Watch is in effect for dozens of North Texas counties on Sunday, April 2, 2023, until 11 p.m. Hail stones up to ping pong ball size have been reported in the storms moving through the area. At 4 p.m., according to NBC 5 Chief Meteorologist Rick Mitchell, the hail core has been decreasing and hail size has been decreasing to pea-sized or dime-sized.is in effect for portions of Cooke and Grayson counties is in effect until 6:30 p.m. with winds to 60 mph and hail to 1 inch.is in effect for portions of Bosque, Erath, Hamilton and Somervell counties until 7 p.m.
