A big weather change on Sunday will bring widespread rain and thunderstorms to North Texas. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for a dozen North Texas counties until 6 p.m.
The biggest weather impact will be widespread rain. If you have outdoor plans Sunday, have a backup plan. Sunday has the highest potential for rain.
Minor flooding will be possible in areas that receive heavy rain bands. A Flood Watch is in effect from 4 p.m. Sunday until Monday morning for Cooke, Fannin, Grayson, Lamar and Montague Counties.Rain comes to an end late Monday morning- early afternoon. Relatively cooler weather will follow for the first part of next week.
