It’s telling our history in our own words, recognizing where we came from and how we got here today, and it’s a vision to move forward, embracing all our cultural diversity.”

“The treatment of Indigenous children at residential schools is a tragedy, as is the impact on them. Today is also about healing and building a new approach. The path towards healing and true reconciliation is about building, understanding, and repairing relationships,” Lebouthillier said.
