LILLEY: Protesters denounce Ford's 'health cuts' as spending goes up

No matter the metric, health spending is up under the Ford government but radical activists want you to think otherwise.

This was the group that NDP Leader Marit Stiles chose to speak to, followed by Liberal Leader John Fraser and Green Leader Mike Schreiner.

She left with a chant of “Corruption is our destruction,” but she didn’t denounce the radicals in the crowd calling for Canada to abandon Ukraine or denounce the socialist groups which celebrate Castro or call for open borders. Probably because these radical ideas are at the core of NDP policy, even though they are offside where most Canadians are at.

This isn’t privatizing our system, though the Ontario Health Coalition and the politicians who spoke Monday oppose it. Neither is it privatizing our system to allow you to get faster access to surgery, via a private clinic, paid for by OHIP, but these same people oppose it.
