LEAGUE CITY, Texas -- A lightning strike was blamed for starting a house fire in League City on Monday night.
The fire was reported around 10 p.m. at a two-story home in the 1400 block of Modeste Drive in the Cabot Cove section of the Victory Lakes subdivision.Video from the scene showed flames shooting out of the roof."From the lightning strike, I think it caused different fires in the structure and it started venting off in different areas of the structure," League City Fire Chief Michael Lugo said.No injuries were reported.
