The House Ethics Committee was scheduled to meet for three hours today, but the meeting was cut short after less than one hour after Liberal MP Iqra Khalid abruptly moved to adjourn debate. The House Access to Information, Privacy and Ethics Committee was meeting to discuss a Conservative motion for a new study of documents pertaining to the pair of Winnipeg scientists responsible for leaking Canadian intellectual property to China.
He said he personally hasn’t spoken with the NDP, but expects there will be conversations between the two parties to work this out. “I think we're gonna have to work out what the next viable step will be to get things underway, and so we'll have to evaluate,” Cooper said.
