Some groups are holding protest marches in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter cause. On Friday evening, LGBTQ community members in Austin marched from City Hall to the Texas Capitol and observed eight minutes and 46 seconds of silence, the time former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin held his knee on Floyd's neck. The march was organized by a diverse group of LGBTQ community members in Austin.
