This means that users can now stream content from their Apple devices directly to their TVs, through the Apple TV app as well as videos. That said, Netflix recentlyLG also tells us that they are now adding support for HomeKit, which is Apple’s system for controlling your smart home devices. This means that users can now use the Home app on their Apple devices, or voice-activated Siri, to control smart home devices including their LG TVs.

According to LG, Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit will be rolled out to owners of 2019 LG OLED TVs, NanoCell TVs, and UHD TVs with ThinQ AI capability via a firmware update this week in “more than 140 countries”.
