Re: “The verdict’s in: This judge rules,” by Dave Lieber, Jan. 30 Metro column.
Now Young is running in the primary against David Schenck, who chairs the state’s Judicial Conduct Commission. Schenck wants to close this massive ethical hole that Austin has created. Young, of course, has the full backing of the governor, the party and the dollars from major law firms. Would you like to guess how this turns out? The stench from Austin is horrendous.
Then move on to important issues like outlawing these crazy shifts that eliminate offense and get rid of a runner at second base to start extra innings — ridiculous. Play ball!Re: “We need U.S. Postal Service,” by John McHugh, Wednesday Letters. It would seem to this reader that rather than pumping additional billions into this money-losing proposition, the U.S. government should sell all of the assets of the Postal Service to the highest bidder and get out of the business of subsidizing the delivery of letters and junk mail door to door.
