Re “Public service workers’ wage demands unrealistic” : The thing about contract negotiations that nobody mentions is that negotiators for the government can always say ‘no.’ There is no compelling reason for government, who barter with taxpayer dollars to settle wage disputes, to continue to talk about unreasonable demands. If the PSAC workers want to strike, let them. Shutter any building that will not give citizens grief. Declare lighthouse workers and firefighters essential services.
