Letters to the Editor: Cutting down Beverly Hills' ficus trees is 'almost a crime' (via latimesopinion )
It’s almost a crime that full-grown trees that offer much-needed shade as well as other numerous benefits for the environment are removed only because the wrong tree was chosen in the wrong location.
Rather than remove the trees, I suggest the city of Beverly Hills contact Burbank, where I have observed they have made every effort to save the trees and install new sidewalks. Last I looked, the trees look very healthy, and the sidewalks and curbs are still in excellent condition.To the editor:
