Readers feel COVID tests should be free; discuss the Supreme Court cast about religious beliefs; urge the “middle” to work on moderate candidates for 2024; urge speaking out against hate groups; and don’t think protesting helps with appraisals.

Trust me, we all pay more than enough in taxes to receive these at no additional charge. Many people simply cannot afford to repeatedly purchase tests. If the national government won’t make these available, then states need to cut loose with some of the “rainy day” funds to do so.The Supreme Court is hearing the case of a website developer who claims her religious beliefs entitle her to refuse to work for same sex couples.

So, how is the Supreme Court going to decide which and whose sincerely held religious beliefs are legally valid and which are not? Solomon is no longer around to help them decide. They can either search for the answers in the Christian Bible or in the United States Constitution. They can’t have it both ways.Given where we are in Texas, what actions can we take to fix our political system? I’ll suggest a few. 1. Call out politicians who vilify constituents who did not vote for them. 2.

When you hear a person or persons spout hate, do you keep quiet or do you speak up and inform them their words are not only hateful, but that they are dangerous? Do you contribute to any of the many organizations that combat hate? I am a Realtor and bought a home in Denton County in 2021. When I protested my appraisal based on multiple points, the Denton Central Appraisal District representative told me, “We know what you paid for your house. We have the Multiple Listing Service database.”
