For years, drivers and pedestrians have been as cooperative as possible regarding bike lanes. We all have to get along, but sadly even on the approved bike lanes there are riders who jump from their lane to the road then the sidewalk, then make a sharp turn left or right on a pedestrian crosswalk and you have to leap out of their way because they don’t respect other people’s rights.
Now can I believe that bikes want to be exempt from the law and race in posted zones. How special do these entitled people think they are. Will we wait until a senior or kid is knocked off their bike or run over on a pedestrian crosswalk and killed before we make it clear that laws are for everyone. Exempt them from the speed limit and they will want it everywhere — they are already doing it everywhere and don’t give a damn for others.
