Re: Come on, Ontario, Ed Skelding. Mr. Skelding, don’t paint everyone in Ontario with the same brush! We have always voted Conservative. You do have a point that CUPE holds students hostage in every contract negotiation! Unions vote Liberal. Education workers should be an essential service! I have never heard a person in Ontario bad mouth anyone who lives in Alberta. Is it any wonder our beautiful country is divided? Alberta has its own problems.
As they were not disrupting or occupying any critical infrastructure, and had mostly already been captured, the federal government determined that invoking the Emergencies Act would not be required.
