A sickly yellow sky was covered in pungent thick smoke. The perfume of Mayday trees we enjoyed the day before was suffocated and children needed to stay inside.
As our headlights and street lights illuminated the darkness and people with breathing issues struggled, do not forget it was the UCP’s idea to cut the forestry rappel team in 2019.
