Joan Huffman, gave the House and Senate a raise and left school teachers in the lurch, points out a reader.One of the popular defenses from former President Donald Trump supporters is that if he is prosecuted, so, too, should Hillary Clinton. They say the “deep state” is opposed to Trump.
But they never mention that Clinton was not prosecuted, even though during his campaign Trump declared he would strictly prosecute anyone who mishandled classified documents. Under Trump, the Department of Justice concluded there was no basis for prosecution. This shows his constant chants of “lock her up” were just designed to gain more votes, for he knew very well she could not be tried. The same appears to be true about the Hunter Biden case. Despite years of investigation and insistence, somehow, he still must be guilty. Where’s the beef?Members of my family serve in the military and in intelligence.
Former President Donald Trump put their lives and lives of thousands and thousands of others in grave danger by his actions with classified information.In listening to the garbled messages of all presidential candidates, I think they have it wrong. Leave the former president to the Department of Justice and tell the voters what you have to offer the nation. This election should not be about the former president but about jobs, immigration, veterans, education and climate change, etc.
