East Bay Times Letters to the Editor for Nov. 18, 2022

In my opinion, the basic reason for their gross under-compensation is that they are only compensated for projected loss of wages due to their disabilities. They are not compensated for their low quality of life so as to keep taxation low for the wealthy elites.

I work with immigrant families who have been caught up with ICE. Their crimes pale in comparison with those the former president has committed and instigated, yet they are locked up and treated callously without any regard for their human rights and dignity. And of course, there was no mention of immigration reform or oversight of ICE in this last election cycle. Only a deafening silence from Washington.

So, you give front-page exposure to someone who denies the results of the last election, killed hundreds of thousands of our people through denial of the seriousness of COVID, is clearly responsible for the events of Jan. 6 in an attempt to overthrow our government and has OK’d violence as a solution to differences of opinion in this country.
